The transformation of Danske Bank’s Procurement

Bo Dungal

Disruptional Evangelist, Group Procurement at Danske Bank

09:00 – 09:10: Arrival

09.10 – 09.15: Welcome by twoHundred

09.15 – 09.40: Bo Dungal, Disruptional Evangelist – Group Procurement, Danske Bank

As head of the procurement innovation team Danske Bank, Bo Dungal has an unusual mission. Like most procurement functions, the procurement specialists at Denmark’s largest bank regard the people and functions they serve as ‘customers’.

But, in Danske Bank’s case, the description is also true in a literal sense: the bank’s procurement specialists now serve a growing number of third-party organisations as well. Bo Dungal has been responsible for developing disruptional models on how internal competencies & know how, such as procurement, AML, Market Data, etc. can be leveraged towards corporate clients and can contribute towards the Top Line Revenue growth and enhanced Customer Journey. In the world of procurement, Danske Bank is still something of a rarity.

Bo Dungal will go through the results and lessons in the transformation of Danske Bank’s Procurement journey.

– What setup does it take to undergo such a transformation?
– What have the biggest learnings been and what has gone wrong along the way?
– Why do so many digital transformations fail in procurement?
